Team will form new corporate risks division

Oxygen has lost a team of staff to Leeds-based rival Henderson.

The team will form a new corporate risks division for Henderson, and will be headed by Nigel Harrison, who joined Oxygen from Smart & Cook Consulting when Oxygen acquired it in November 2006.

Henderson chief executive Joe Henderson confirmed that up to 12 people would staff the new division.

He said: “We are very committed to the Leeds market place and Nigel Harrison joining provides an opportunity for us to work closer with our insurer friends in Leeds and for greater interaction with Leeds Underwriters for all the Henderson offices.”

An Oxygen spokesman said: “We have indeed said goodbye to a small number of ex-colleagues who we understand will be joining Henderson’s. These things happen.”
