‘More riots within the year’: police boss

The police fear a repeat of last summer’s UK rioting, that was judged to cost insurers between £200m and £300m.

The findings come from 130 police interviews carried out by The Guardian and the London School of Economics.

One superintendent from Greater Manchester police said he predicted more riots within the year.
