Premex Group, a provider of medical reporting and rehabilitation services, has acquired medical underwriter, 3D Risk Solutions.
Premex said the acquisition was part of its diversification strategy to develop related businesses.
3D Risk Solutions' services concentrate on medical underwriting and claims handling.
In addition to the launch of its new claims investigation company Premex Insight in January 2007, 3D is the third acquisition for the Premex Group in the last twelve months.
Simon Margolis, Premex's chief executive, said, “This latest acquisition is part of our carefully planned growth and acquisition strategy: expanding our offerings whilst being recognized as a leading provider in all of the industries and professions we service. There are significant areas of cross-over between 3D and Premex and our expertise will ensure 3D grows to become the largest, most cost-effective and skilled service provider in its market sector.”
