Broking and underwriting group Prestige has made three new external hires from rivals Towergate and Arthur J Gallagher.

It has also appointed a new group marketing manager from within its ranks.

Alison Williams has returned to Prestige Underwriting Services as head of home after four years with Towergate Underwriting, where she was development director for home and let.

Also joining from Towergate is Suzanne Meare, who has been named Prestige’s corporate propositions manager at group level. While at Towergate Meare managed several large corporate accounts.

Tim Baxter joins Prestige as sales and distribution manager for Prestige Underwriting GB after 14 years at Arthur J Gallagher division Gallagher Heath, previously Heath Lambert.

Baxter held various roles at Gallagher Heath, and was most recently development director for Gallagher’s Think e-trading business.

In addition to the external hires, Prestige has also appointed its former property underwriting director Gillian King as its new group marketing director.

In her new role King will be charged with maximising the sales potential across all of Prestige’s lines of business in the UK and Ireland.
