Prudential chief executive Nick Prettejohn is to join the CII.
Prettejohn will join the advisory board of the CII's recently formed Faculty of Life and Pensions.
The faculty, launched in March, aims to help companies drive up standards of professionalism and good practice.
CII president Peter Hales said: “Prudential is a leading life and pensions provider in the UK and getting its support is a tremendous boost. Combined with the other top-level involvement I expect us to get the faculty firmly established and making a real impact sooner rather than later.”
