Outsourcer is in talks with Australian law firm about the disposal of its legal services division

Quindell

Quindell has moved to reassure investors that sale talks with Slater & Gordon have not broken down.

In a statement to the stock exchange, Quindell said: “Contrary to speculation, the exclusivity arrangements with Slater & Gordon Ltd in respect of the possible disposal of an operating division of the group continue and discussions are ongoing.”

But the firm did warn that, while talks were continuing, there was still no guarantee that a deal would be reached.

“There can be no certainty that these discussions will lead to an offer for, or the disposal of, an operating division of the group,” Quindell said.

News of the talks for the sale of its legal services division first broke in late January after a troubled 2014 for the firm.
