RBS has named the new chief executive of its insurance operations...

Chris Sullivan, chief executive, retail and deputy chief executive, retail markets is to become CEO of RBS Insurance, following the departure of Annette Court.

Prior to taking up his current position in retail markets, Sullivan was chief executive of RBS's UK and European businesses in cards and consumer finance, primarily delivered through the direct delivery channels.

Commenting on Court's departure, Sir Fred Goodwin, group chief executive of RBS said: “Annette has decided to develop her career in a more broadly based insurance business and she goes with my best wishes and thanks for the contribution she has made in over a decade at Direct Line and latterly at RBS Insurance.”
