IT service provider Rebus iS and its insurance outsourcing partner Albis Associates have launched today a web-based policy identification tool and policy production service called Docusure.
The companies say Docusure supports the timely issuance of documentation to the London insurance and reinsurance markets.
Docusure tackles the root cause of unsigned policies by automatically applying predetermined rules to the risk from the quote or placing slip onwards, facilitating the identification of the appropriate form type.
In addition, each client can extract key mainframe system information, which can be used in the corresponding fields within the policy production facility, saving hours of re-keying.
The system comprises a knowledge builder to capture information, a document assembly tool and a web-based document repository.
Docusure also allows insurance brokers to build rules for specific business classes they wish to target such as non-marine, direct, UK or financial, to enable form identification. Albis will assist organisations with this task.
Rebus chief executive Bob Gogel said: "Insurance risks can have volumes of associated forms and clauses which make policy generation an arduous task, often resulting in the actual policy document never being produced. Rebus and Albis have developed Docusure to facilitate policy generation, in line with our mission to boost efficiency in the industry by automating insurance processes.
"We expect that users of Docusure will experience not only time and labour savings, but also a marked increase in the accuracy of all policy documentation," he added.
