In May I was towing my caravan home on the A421, passing through Milton Keynes I was tapped at the back of a caravan by a taxi doing a small amount of damage. A few hundred yards further on this taxi waived me down to inspect the damage that I had done to the nearside of his car showing extensive damage to the nearside of the vehicle which he told me I had done. After extensive interviews and inspections my insurers told me that yes this damage was not caused by me but the taxi insisted that I had pulled out about 800 yards further on than the roundabout where it happened. The evidence pointed out to me being believed but because the passenger in the cab was "independent" they would be defeated in court because he and the witness would therefore be believed and my insurers would have to pay. Bye bye no claims bonus!
