This shows unequivocally the damage done by the compensation culture. It drains away a huge proportion of the cash that could be used to prevent future deaths, and concentrates money in the hands of the few who complain the most.

It has been described as "creating one person institutions", and clearly a large amount of our budget is lining the pockets of lawyers.

In America, this sort of thing had massively pushed up the cost of operations and medical insurance. We need to see the compensation culture for what is is - harm for the many disguised as justice for the few.
