Road Runner has relaunched its Combined policy for motor traders and small garages, offering instant cover without a survey.

Combined is an all-in-one package for smaller businesses and includes road risks, liabilities, material damage, theft and business interruption cover.

The no survey requirement allows intermediaries to provide cover instantly for motor trade clients with up to £125,000 insured.

The up to £125,000 sum insured level can be determined on a “mix and match” basis, allowing flexibility, depending on the nature of the motor trader's business.

Many of the inner limits within the Road Runner Combined package have also been increased to reflect the growing value of stock, tools and equipment needed by those working with cars.

Road Risks cover within Combined includes Social, Domestic & Pleasure (SDP) use as well as motor trade use. No claims bonuses can be transferred from existing private and commercial policies.

The maximum indemnity limit for any one vehicle has been increased to £22,500. Demonstration use by customers is also included.

“Combined offers intermediaries the easiest way to package its small motor traders insurance requirements all under one umbrella with the minimum of fuss,” said marketing manager Patricia Sauer.

Alongside the launch of the new-look Combined, Road Runner is also running a liability awareness campaign with the motor trade, highlighting the dangers associated with lack of liability cover.

The company's campaign reinforces the need for those working with cars to have public, products and employers cover, and in particular, servicing and defective workmanship cover. Liability cover within the Combined package also includes cover for employees working either at the business premises or working away anywhere in the UK.

The package also includes loss of stock in transit and employees' belongings, as well as replacement locks, computer equipment and reinstatement of computer data.

Other benefits are loss of money at the business and in transit or at home of the policyholder due to theft or hold-up, personal assault cover, and business interruption.
