The Rowett Insurance Broking Group has bought St Austell-based LG Burton.
This follows the head of the firm, Roger Burton, retiring. Burton will continue to work for Rowett in a consulting capacity.
Glyn Rowett, of the Rowett insurance group, commented: "In past years, Burton's was 'insurance' and we are very pleased that Roger has sold his loyal client bank to a St Austell lad."
LG Burton was founded in St Austell in 1936.
