New system will help members through insurance buying process

The age of technology

Cornish Mutual has appointed Transactor Global Solutions Ltd (TGSL) to provide a new policy administration system to help its members through the insurance buying process.

The Transactor system is part of a major investment by the South West rural insurer Cornish Mutual in a new IT infrastructure.

TGSL chief technology officer Ian Blakesley said: “We have a good working relationship with Cornish Mutual and have a sound understanding of their requirements. This new policy administration system is based on very up to date technology, enabling the insurer to be able to offer their members greater flexibility in the services provided.”

Cornish Mutual finance director Peter Beaumont said: “As well as ticking all the boxes, TGSL understood our mutual business model and have proved to be very cost-effective. Insurance is a fast-moving industry and we needed to be more responsive and remain ahead of the game when it comes to meeting the changing needs of our members. It is really exciting to see the opportunities opening up to us to improve the quality of a service we are already very proud of.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
