RSA racked up big underwriting losses in the UK and London market 

RSA’s share price plunged nearly 9% today as investors fled amid poor results in the UK and London market.

The insurer racked up a 110% combined operating ratio in UK and London market. 

Chief executive Stephen Hester called the results in UK and London market ‘disappointing’.

They firm was buoyed slightly by better performance in Ireland, Scandinavia and Canada.

The share price fell 8.74% to 578.60p.
