Hood had been in the role since January
RSA chief digital officer Ian Hood has left the insurer after six years with the insurer.
He was promoted to chief digital officer in January.
The insurer has confirmed he is leaving to take up a new role in another industry.
Hood was previously the group digital and mutli-channel director and prior to that headed up e-business at the insurer’s More Than division.
RSA chief information officer Darren Price and his senior IT leadership team will be given responsibility for delivering RSA’s global digital strategy, which forms part of the insurer’s overall IT transformation plan.
