Broker’s investment in professional development of staff pays off

Independent East Anglian broker Saffron Insurance has been awarded chartered status for its commercial division.

Saffron managing director David Beswick said: “Becoming a chartered broker is not only fantastic news for Saffron as a business, but the award also gives recognition to all of the team that have spent hours studying hard gaining their CII qualifications. It really demonstrates our ethos as a business that we take our responsibility seriously.

“It’s positive news for our clients too, as they can gain some reassurance from knowing they are dealing with a chartered broker.”

Safron said it had invested substantially in supporting staff across its seven branches to obtain professional qualifications that maintain a high level of technical knowledge and high standards.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
