Mission-critical applications provider Sapiens is currently developing a solution to enable organisations in the general insurance sector to communicate and share information.

Basing the design on its core eMerge technology, Sapiens intends to improve and support communication and information exchange between any parties involved in the industry, ranging from intermediaries, loss adjusters, claims assessors, insurers, underwriters, and customers.

The eMerge technology is a strategic system for supporting and opening up multi-channels for information exchange. That means enabling the compilation of data from any distribution channel.

David Leach, Sapiens' solutions manager, said: "Insurers will have the ability to adapt their existing systems to send and receive information through multi-channels to business partners, suppliers and customers.

"The underlying technology allows ease of integration with existing customer databases.

"And where there is no suitable database, the eMerge framework comes with one provided. The technology also facilitates integration with existing systems, protecting investment in existing information."
