Insurers could do well to brush up on their pillow talk after a survey revealed the surprising finding that one in 20 young women think about their finances while making love.

Money worries are becoming an overriding preoccupation for society, particularly for young single women, says internet bank Cahoot, part of Abbey National, which commissioned the survey.

Commenting on the survey, holistic health expert Dr Rob Hicks, said: “Long-term stresses such as financial worries, for example, can have dramatic negative effects on the body. However, if you get to the bottom of the problem and solve it, then the symptoms will usually disappear.” Advice indeed.
