PRI
Professional Risks Insurance (PRI), the principal operating, FSA-authorised subsidiary of PRI Group, has appointed Helen Bradley as actuary.
She has more than ten years of post qualification reserving, pricing, capital management and strategic planning experience in both the Company and the Lloyd's Market.
Before coming to PRI, Bradley worked for XL London Market. Prior to that, she was employed at Norwich Union.
Budget
Budget Insurance Service has strengthened its human resources department with the addition of a new associate director and two senior managers. The move is part of a department restructure pioneered by recently appointed HR director Cheryl Clifford.
Steve Hall has joined Budget as learning and development associate director, responsible for the learning and development strategy within the organisation, having previously worked in a similar role at Merchants.
Mary Taylor has joined Budget as senior recruitment manager. Prior to joining Budget, she worked at Egg and Thomas Cook in contact centre related HR.
Pamela Barton has joined Budget as rewards and benefits senior manager. She previously worked for Johnson Diversey in pay and benefits.
Ecclesiastical Insurance
Richard Wyatt has joined Ecclesiastical Insurance as international insurance underwriting manager, covering the Mediterranean.
Previously he worked at Zurich Commercial for 24 years.
His remit has been expanded to include overseeing agency operations in Malta, Cyprus, Greece, Holland, a London Market marine agency and underwriting across an international division that includes Australia, Canada and Ireland.
Jardine Lloyd Thompson
Jardine Lloyd Thompson has appointed Donna Elliot as managing director of Expacare Insurance.
She joined as operations director from Alliance Insurance Management in August this year.
Chris Frost Insurance Services
Peter Welland has joined professional Indemnity specialist Chris Frost Insurance Services as senior account executive. Welland joins the company from South Africa where he gained more than 20 years' experience of commercial & general insurance.
Willis Group
The motor initiatives team of Willis Group Holdings has appointed Nick Williams as sales and marketing director for DRIVE.
He joins the team from AMC, where he was head of sales.
Chase Templeton
Kevin Amphlett has purchased independent intermediary Chase Templeton (formerly Health Matters), now part of the Isle of Man registered Chase Templeton Group. He was national sales director of Berkeley Morgan Healthcare.
In the past few months the company has undergone significant expansion appointing 55 experienced consultants, most of whom followed Amphlett from Berkeley Morgan.
Amphlett becomes chairman of Chase Templeton Group.
Mills & Reeve
Further to the announcement of two insurance appointments last month, law firm, Mills & Reeve, is continuing to expand its London office and insurance practice with the appointment of Gary Hazelton, Jessica Tilbury and Ada Waddington.
Professional negligence specialist Gary Hazelton worked for Hammond Suddards Edge, where he specialised in dealing with contentious commercial disputes.
Jessica Tilbury, an overseas lawyer, joins from Minter Ellison, in Melbourne, Australia, where she focused on commercial litigation. Ada Waddington specialises in reinsurance and joins Mills & Reeve from DJ Freeman where she has worked for three years.
Albany RTA Group
Claims management company Albany RTA Group has appointed Susan Howe as operations development manager.
She has 20 years' experience within the insurance industry.
Insurance Services Office
Insurance Services Office (ISO) has appointed Christine Garty as business manager on its management team.
Garty brings some 15 years' finance and management experience to ISO, and joins the company from London-based publishing house, Aurum Press, where she was company accountant for three years. Prior to that, she was financial controller at publishing company Anness, and also worked for five years with KPMG, where she provided business advisory services to a range of UK companies.
GE Medical Protective
GE Medical Protective (GE MedPro) has appointed Michael Peterman as dental
Go-To-Market leader. Peterman will be responsible for supporting existing relationships with independent agents and dental societies, while growing GE MedPro's dental business.
Prior to joining GE MedPro, Peterman was quality assurance manager for The Hartford, where he served as the programme administrator for the strategic alliance between The Hartford and GE MedPro. Peterman has also held various managerial positions across the insurance industry and was an owner of an independent insurance agency.
Cap Gemini Ernst & Young UK
Martin Barber has joined Cap Gemini Ernst & Young's financial services team as vice-president. Barber joins the company from KPMG Consulting, where he was a partner within the financial sector consulting group.
He has more than 17 years' experience of working within the financial services sector, having extensive experience of both consulting and working in-house as a programme and project management specialist. He has led a variety of large-scale projects for major global financial services companies.
BELFOR
Simon Berry has been promoted to BELFOR's manager for Lloyd's, London and the South East and has overall responsibility for its new office in the City of London, as well as the company's operations centres already established in Croydon and Edmonton.
Berry joined BELFOR last year as manager of the Abingdon operations centre.
He has brought a wealth of experience to the company as, prior to joining BELFOR, he was a loss adjuster for more than 20 years. Originally with Cunningham Hart & Company, (now Cunningham Lindsey) in London, more recently he was with Capita McLarens' major loss team, South West and South Wales.
Quastel Associates
Nicholas Carter has joined Quastel Associates as its fourth antiques and general valuer. Carter has more than 17 years' experience.
His addition to the team extends the company's coverage to Shropshire and Leicestershire.
Autoglass
Autoglass has appointed Tony Lloyd as the new manager for its Derby branch.
Lloyd, who joined Autoglass 12 years ago, moves to the position having previously been a supervisor in a team of fitting technicians.
