Underwriting agency Best has created a new Staff Absence Management System for schoolteachers.
Best, the Brokers' Educational Supply Teachers' underwriting agency, has launched the system to support a government directive that schools should have risk management procedures in place for staff absences.
Best managing director, Gary Salter, said: "We are committed to exploiting the systems and technology to ensure schools get the protection they need, when they need it."
Capital backing has been provided by Best's insurers, Groupama, Norwich Union, Axa and Ace.
