Former FSA director had been on broking group’s board for three years
Towergate is seeking a new non-executive director following the departure of James Strachan from the board at the end of September.
He notified the broking group in July that he would not be seeking re-appointment to the board when his three-year term came to an end.
Strachan joined Towergate in November 2011 as a non-executive director and chairman of the broker’s group risk and compliance committee.
He was previously a non-executive director at the FSA.
A Towergate spokeswoman told Insurance Times: “James announced in July that he would not be seeking re-appointment at the end of his three year term, which concluded at the end of September.
“We have an external search running but we would expect to bring this to a conclusion once the current process is further down the road.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
