United Insurance Brokers (UIB) is in talks to sell its Mansell Underwriting and Management Company managing general agency, Insurance Times can reveal.
Discussions are at an early stage with an unnamed third party.
A spokesman for UIB said restrictive covenants gagged the broker from revealing more details.
Mansell was set up in 2009 by Peter Murrell, who joined UIB from Three Lions Underwriting to draw up a business plan for an SME MGA.
Inter Hannover provided capacity for the MGA.
