Broker Moorhouse is launching a major business drive in Wales led by former Marsh associate director for business development Simon Thomas.
Moorhouse chairman Lyndon Wood said Thomas, as group commercial director, would be his "second in command".
He said the broker had also hired another three ex-Marsh employees. James Burrows and Carol Britton become associate directors of its corporate division and Francis Thomas joins as a broker. Wood said further appointments "are in the pipeline."
He added that Moorhouse was targeting commission income of £13m by 2008, having picked up £8m in new business during the last year.
