1,000 users added in first six months of 2007

Webline, the quote and apply portal, has announced that it has reached its 100 millionth quote since it was launched in 2000.

In the first 6 months of this year, over 1,000 new firms have joined Webline’s user base, which now has more than 20,000 end-users, the company said.

Webline has expanded beyond its core protection products to includes pensions, income protection and general insurance.

Paul Holland, Chairman of Webline said: “We are extremely proud to announce that we have facilitated over 100 million product quotations. This is a clear indication of how fast we are growing.

“Our monthly fee of £10 (plus VAT) gives users access to all our products and services, regardless of the number of users within a firm - this represents real value. In addition, larger distributors benefit from our special network and group management features, and receive heavy discounts on the base price per firm."

He continued "We are dedicated in providing advisers market-wide comparisons in just a few seconds, and continue to maintain our high levels of user satisfaction with the service. It is imperative that we continue to listen to our users in developing new features, as well as increasing our panel of providers and the range of products we support, in order to grow our user base further.”

Webline is part of the Capita Group.
