Mychoice general insurance panel made available

Webline, a Capita Enabler company, has launched BDML’s mychoice general insurance panel to the Directly Authorised (DA) intermediary market.

Previously only available to networks and their appointed representatives, the site enables DA intermediaries to benefit from a panel of 10 independently selected insurers. Advisers can also take advantage of single common policy wording, pre-populated compliance documentation, a commission alteration option and free access to the Building Cost Information Service’s new rebuild look up feature.

Matt Humphrey, client service & operations director at Webline, said: “This extended offering in the general insurance market will help generate new income streams for DA intermediaries by providing the opportunity to increase their portfolio of services. The ability for an adviser to provide a selection of competitive quotes to their clients, for household insurance in one single quote request, is an extremely powerful tool considering the current Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines. Advisers can address the need for household insurance in an improved comprehensive solution and therefore expand and improve their services in line with this FSA initiative.”

Paul Stacy, operations director at BDML, added: “mychoice has proven extremely popular amongst networks, their appointed representatives and national groups, so I’m delighted that by combining the market presence and technological abilities of BDML and Webline, we can offer the DA market a significant enhancement to their portfolio of client services.”
