Danny Walkinshaw looks at the latest insurance stories online

Another photo spectacular caught the eyes of insurancetimes.co.uk visitors this week, this time a gallery of snaps from the Ferma Forum in the Czech capital of Prague.

Known for its charming landscapes, and not forgetting its bars and clubs, Prague was a fitting setting for risk managers, brokers and insurers to descend on for the Federation of European Risk Management Associations’ annual conference.

Insurance Times’s sister publication StrategicRISK was on hand to catch some of the best moments on camera and visitors to the site jumped on the pictures when the photo special landed in their inboxes.

If you missed it, go to the ‘Photo Galleries’ section at Insurancetimes.co.uk, where you can also find pictures from other major insurance events.

The story ‘Prescott joins Giles as non-exec chairman’ also sent online readers into a clicking frenzy. They may have been disappointed to find out that it was not former deputy prime minister John Prescott, but the broker’s appointment of former Ecclesiastical deputy chief executive and City financier George Prescott still made for an interesting development.

Elsewhere, the story ‘Aon and Marsh to buy brokers’ received global online attention, with Bloomberg reporting on the Advisen research report that claims the brokers will expand by acquiring smaller rivals.

Fantasy Football action returned this weekend after the break for international fixtures. But it was business as usual as managers logged on to the site to make their all-important changes, including me as I plan my charge up the leaderboard!
