Wellington Underwriting Agencies Limited (WUAL) has appointed Will Curran as head of property treaty reinsurance underwriting to be written into Syndicate 2020.

Curran will lead a new reinsurance treaty team and will report directly to WUAL chief underwriting officer David Foreman.

Wellington said it expected gross written premium income of approximately £60m from the book during the 2005 year of account. Syndicate 2020 has premium income capacity of £730m for 2004.

The property treaty account will be supported by Wellington's catastrophe modelling division, policy wording and claims management teams, said the company.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
