Xerox is developing Internet Presentment, new technology designed specifically for the insurance industry. The solution allows policyholders to self-administer their policies on personalised web sites.
The package also lets insurers open up their existing systems for the benefit of third-party companies such as brokers, allowing them to change policy details.
The system also lets customers print out insurance documentation as and when they require it, theoretically reducing the amount of paper a company requires.
The Xerox offering also supports a range of other business-to-business solutions, such as group insurance administration, explanation of benefit/payment processing and premium billing.
