The Insurance Partnership strengthens board with reshuffle

Yorkshire-based commercial insurance broker The Insurance Partnership has made three appointments to its board of directors.

Existing senior associate directors Richard Tuplin and Kevin Cody have been appointed as directors and Richard Smaje will take up his new role with The Insurance Partnership’s Holdings board as group finance director.

Group managing director of The Insurance Partnership Rob Worrell said: “I am delighted to welcome our new appointees to the Board of Directors. I have worked will Richard Tuplin, Kevin Cody and Richard Smaje for many years and I’m confident they will flourish in their new roles.

“Since Richard Smaje joined the company he has consistently combined great technical skill with unwavering enthusiasm and a truly entrepreneurial outlook. The Group will most certainly be strengthened as a result of his new appointment.

“Both Richard Tuplin and Kevin Cody encapsulate the true spirit of The Insurance Partnership – drive, focus and commitment. Both men possess the skills and vision that will be an asset to our business moving forward.”

Prior to taking up their new roles, Richard Tuplin was senior associate director for brand and marketing, Kevin Cody was senior associate director for sales and Richard Smaje was The Insurance Partnership’s head of finance. All three took up their new roles on the 1st July 2009.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
