Zurich Risk Services has launched a business continuity management product to help businesses prepare for disasters.

The product includes consultancy with a Zurich risk analyst, in addition to a software solution developed with disaster recovery experts, Ark First.

The software was launched in response to recent National Audit Office figures that say 92% of businesses do not have a continuity plan.

Ian McNeil, Zurich's National Risk Manager said: "By putting a business continuity management system in place a business is taking control of undesirable risks.

"Major disasters can have far-reaching consequences which could lead to extensive business disruption and even closure.

"Our business continuity management solution is available to any business wishing to protect itself in light of these threats."
