Zurich Risk Services has launched a telephone advice service aimed at improving brokers' knowledge of risk management issues.

The new service, riskline, will provide brokers with free access to summaries of legislation and regular newsletters.

Zurich Risk Services launched the advice line after its own research revealed that many brokers felt unable to advise clients on risk management issues.

Zurich Risk Services managing director Roger Cottell said: "Riskline has been designed to fill knowledge gaps regarding legislation and save the broker from having to search through legislative documents.

"Typically, brokers can use riskline to get updates on existing legislation and find when amended or new legislation is due out, when they or their clients need to comply and what implications this will have on either individuals, business markets or their industry."
