Paul Templar, chief executive at Vipr Solutions, explains his firm’s entry to the Excellence in AI - Service Provider category

1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the category?

Delegated authority operations deserve recognition for the strategic role they play in insurance.

Paul Templar, chief executive at Vipr Solutions

Too many businesses still rely on spreadsheets, manual processing and disconnected systems to manage increasingly complex portfolios.

We wanted to demonstrate how specialist technology can improve those processes today, connecting data across the value chain and giving clients greater visibility and control.

Our entry reflects the work our team has done to combine insurance expertise, intelligent automation and responsible AI, helping clients turn operational data into actionable data insights that support better decisions.

2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?

Our combination of years of expertise in specialist delegated authority skillsets across our organisation globally, our ability to provide measurable results and responsible AI already operating in live client workflows.

Our technology processes more than 500,000 bordereaux annually, with over $12bn in premiums flowing through it.

Bordereaux processing is more than 90% faster using Vipr systems. Crucially, we pair automation with governance. AI actions are reviewable, reversible and recorded, with people retaining accountability.

We believe that combination of scale, practical impact and operational control makes Vipr a strong contender for this award.

3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

Everyone at Vipr would be extremely proud and it would demonstrate and reflect the expertise, commitment and collaboration behind our technology success to date.

It would also recognise our clients, whose trust and feedback help us develop technology that addresses real operational challenges.

For me, it would reinforce the importance of delegated authority intelligence in supporting better underwriting, stronger governance and a more resilient insurance market.
