Intermediary group Countrywide has launched a 24-hour legal assistance service for its members and its commercial clients.

It has teamed up with Manchester-based Peninsula Business Services, which will advise on health and safety and employment law. Countrywide has launched the service following the introduction of the Human Rights Act, which is expected to lead to a flood of new claims.

In addition to the 24-hour call service Peninsula can offer Countrywide members and their clients other legal help.

Such additional assistance includes services such as updating personnel and employment documents and tribunal representation.
