Abbey Legal Protection has put its loss assessor and specialist consultants policy PLUS on the backburner due to slow uptake from brokers since its launch in November.
The policy, underwritten by Lloyd's insurer Beazley, will not be marketed in the near future, according to the company.
Abbey Legal sales and marketing manager Nicky Amor said: "Sales had not done as well as anticipated.
"The product was launched at the wrong time, when brokers are already having a difficult time. We could not add another 5% to their portfolios, so we are reassessing the policy, which we still feel has a place."
The company said it wanted to concentrate on its specialist employment legal advice service which has pre-sold £250,000 worth of sales before its launch at Biba.
The online service, CybHR, is claimed to be a complete training programme.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
