ACE Limited has appointed a chief claims officer to oversee all aspects of claims management and administration for the ACE Group of Companies.

The Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer said Frank Lattal, formerly general council for ACE Bermuda, would fill the role. Mr Lattal will report directly to Evan Greenberg, the president and chief operating officer of ACE Limited.

Mr Greenberg said: "As we continue our rapid growth and our operations become more diverse and complex, there is an increasing need for stronger management oversight and coordination of our claims organisation.

"Excellence in claims management and adjudication is the most basic service our clients expect from us. I am sure that Frank will provide leadership and direction, and along with our strong global claims management team, continue our tradition of excellent claims management."

Mr Lattal joined ACE in 1998, having spent 14 years in private practice representing insurers and insureds. In 2000, he was named senior vice president, Claims, and, in January 2002, was appointed general counsel for ACE Bermuda.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
