Adding1, the company launched by former Rarrigini and Rosso boss Julie Rodilosso, has expanded its product portfolio.

The intermediary, which was launched last October, has added five products to its current portfolio of fleet and commercial covers.

The new products include construction, directors' and officers' and excess liability and are underwritten by AIG.

It is also piloting a goods in transit product.

Jersey-based Adding1, which is backed by Rodilosso and insurance entrepreneur Martin Belcher, already offers bespoke policy wording and marketing services to brokers.

On its launch, the company said it was aiming to work with 300 brokers.

A spokesman for the company said it was "closing in" on this target and was "very pleased with the response from brokers".

The spokesman added: "Overall, Julie's view is that Adding1 is trading very satisfactorily despite what she describes as the softest market we have seen in ages."

Rodilosso, Adding1's chief executive, said: "From day one, Adding1 has been about giving its partners the unique products, the bulk buying power and the sophisticated marketing support to compete and win in today's highly competitive market.

"We can now give brokers an edge across a broader spectrum than ever."
