Aegis Syndicate 1225 has announced plans to expand into cargo business with the appointment of a new underwriting team.
David Allen, senior cargo underwriter, and Scott Sykes, cargo and specie underwriter, have joined Aegis from Euclidian. They will report to Aegis director of underwriting, Philip Thorpe-Apps.
Aegis said that as a leading cargo underwriter in the Lloyd's market, Allen would continue to lead the majority of the syndicate's cargo business.
