Promotion

Allianz UK’s commercial business has promoted three executives to new regional underwriting manager positions in the north, north-west and south-east of England.

Each will have full responsibility for the insurer’s property, casualty, motor and motor trade accounts in their respective regions.

Michelle Madden, previously property and casualty manager for the north-west, will take over as the region’s regional underwriting manager.

She replaces Katie Griffiths, who will become regional underwriting manager for the north. Both have been with Allianz since 2000.

Joanne Stephens, previously liability manager in the commercial casualty team, will become regional underwriting manager for the south-east. She joined Allianz in 2013 from AIG.

Allianz Commercial director of broker markets Andrew Broughton said: “It is excellent that we have been able to promote from within to fill these key positions. Joanne, Michelle and Katie are all experienced and skilled individuals who will bring a commercial trading focus to their roles while maintaining the highest standards of Allianz technical expertise.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
