Aon has appointed Bob Smallwood to its transport team within its risk management services division.
Smallwood will take on the role of risk management director, with responsibility for boosting the team's rail risk management and safety capability, raise its profile in the sector and expand its range of services.
Smallwood joined Aon from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) where he worked as deputy chief inspector of railways. He was also one of the five members of the Anglo-French Channel Tunnel Safety Authority.
