Agency Underwriting Limited (AUL) has launched what it believes is a groundbreaking cover. Its clients can now purchase a £6.99 add-on to its standard travel insurance policy - Travellers' Legal Cover (TLC).

This provides cover for people whose holidays are ruined due to a variety of reasons, including a misleading brochure and the hotel still being a building site.

With TLC, clients are entitled to upto £10,000 to take legal action against the tour operator or travel agent responsible for their holiday being a disaster.

Managing director Richard Lamberth said he believed AUL's policy was a first and that "with consumer complaints at record levels it will be a great way to have that extra peace of mind when booking your holiday. We anticipate high demand."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
