Copeland joins from Carole Nash

Van broker Autonet Insurance has appointed Penny Copeland as director of human resources with immediate effect.

Copeland, who has 25 years’ experience in the industry, has worked for Carole Nash Insurance Consultants as the head of HR, and prior to that was at Independent Insurance and Commercial Union (now part of Aviva).

In her new role, she will lead the HR and learning and development teams.

Copeland will work closely with directors, senior management, the HR team and learning and development teams to design and implement HR, and learning and development strategies.

She said: “I am delighted to be working for a forward-looking organisation that has exciting plans for the future.

“It’s great that Autonet Insurance recognises the importance that people strategies play in supporting and delivering these plans.

“I am eager to get started and I am looking forward to my exciting new challenge at Autonet.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
