Aviva has strengthened its management structure with the appointment of Shayne Deighton as group financial management director.
Deighton joins Aviva from Ernst & Young where he has been a partner in the life actuarial practice since 2001, servicing a wide range of consulting and audit clients in the UK, Ireland and Europe and internally responsible for quality and risk management.
As group financial management director, he will lead a team of technical specialists responsible for the development and implementation of Aviva's capital and financial risk management framework and of the operational and governance structures to support it.
Deighton will report to Aviva group finance director, Andrew Moss from 1 May 2006.
