Legal and General reign supreme

Last Thursday evening saw more than 6,000 City workers depart from their usual after work routine (pub, train, home), and run along the streets of London. What prompted this madness? The answer is the annual City 5km road race, which saw teams of runners from all manner of City businesses pound the streets in the name of charity.

Among insurance industry competitors were teams from Hiscox, Marsh, Willis and AXA. Even Backchat managed to persuade three colleagues (one dropped out – you know who you are) to down their notepads and get running.

In the end, Legal and General’s ultra-fit employees dominated the insurance industry competitors, with teams coming in first, second and third place in the sector competition.
