Fairplay Insurance is offering home and motor cover for former offenders, a customer group that has problems in obtaining normal insurance cover.

Fairplay claims that they are able to offer insurance to 95% of applicants but do operate restrictions for some types of offender.

Direct Line will also provide cover for former offenders, but admit that cover will cost considerably more than standard policies.
