Eighteen brokers will be enjoying a well-earned break this summer after winning a competition run by Zurich Commercial.

About 650 brokers took up the challenge to place the most new insurance business with Zurich Commercial in specified classes over a fixed period.

The incentive was the chance to win £1,000 worth of Thomas Cook worldwide travel vouchers.

"In addition to winning new business we have given our brokers the opportunity to win something extra," said Zurich Commercial's Dave Smith.

The campaign was supported by five direct mail pieces designed to bring elements of anticipation and fun to the brokers' offices as the competition heated up.

The final surprise was a high-ball tumbler personally delivered to the brokers, allowing all those who participated to enjoy a drink on Zurich Commercial.


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
