Brokers urged to capitalise on a golden opportunity

Biba chairman Lord Hunt has called on brokers to help the government’s Growth Action Plan and deliver innovations for the market and make sure customers are at the heart of their business.

Speaking at the Biba 2014 conference in Manchester, Lord Hunt said brokers should be “setting the gold standard for advice” and provide customers with the peace of mind they need when buying insurance.

He also told delegates at the event that due to the “tough, complex and uncertain times” the UK is currently experiencing that there is a “clear and urgent need for expert and trusted advice”.

Brokers heard that this presented them with a golden opportunity, and Lord Hunt called on them to capitalise on the current state of the market and fulfil the role customers needed them to.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
