Man Utd on verge of signing £80m shirt deal
Aon is on the verge of signing a four-year deal with Man Utd.
The £80m deal, reportedly worth £20m a year, will see Aon replace crippled American insurer AIG on the shirt of the most famous football club in the world.
AIG will continue to have its name on the shirts until June 2010 before Aon takes over, newspaper reports claim.
AIG said in January it would not be renewing its £14m-per-year contract after needing more than $150bn in state bailouts to keep solvent.
The deal is expected to be reached in the next few hours.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
