Grant Whiskin has been appointed deputy managing director of Chase Parkinson, the travel risk management division at Towergate Underwriting Group. He has previously worked at Lombard General Insurance and Legal & Professional Indemnity specialising in the direct marketing of legal and insurance products. Also, Peter Saunders has been appointed development manager.

Philip Wright has been appointed to the board as sales director at Standard Life subsidiary Prime Health. Wright has headed sales since 1998 after working in product development and intermediary sales.

Suzanne Gaskell has been appointed business development underwriter at the Electrical Contractors' Insurance Company (ECIC). Previously a general non-motor underwriter at Guardian Insurance, Gaskell will aim to increase awareness of ECIC and its products.

Philippe Bes has been appointed chief operating officer of the global GAB Robins organisation following Brera's acquisition of GAB Robins. Also, Clive Nicholls will become chief executive of the UK loss adjusting operations. He is currently managing director of Robins Response, the personal lines division of GAB Robins UK.

A qualified solicitor, Brennan has specialised in insurance and reinsurance law for over ten years. He replaces Stan Holloway who has opted to bring his retirement forward.
