PYV
Robert Bass has been appointed director of PYV, the specialised financial liabilities Lloyd's insurance broker. He has been with the company for seven years as head of claims. Nick Pauley has also been appointed director. He is the company's broking director. PYV's core business is the broking of professional indemnity insurance for financial services organisations.
Denney O'Hara
Peter Thompson has been appointed as a non-executive director of Leeds-based financial advisers Denney O'Hara. He joins the firm after retiring from his previous position as senior partner at Eversheds.

Folgate Insurance
Mick Husband has been appointed commercial underwriting manager at Folgate Insurance while Mike Bridge has been appointed commercial sales & operations manager. Both have been recruited to undertake a strategic review of Folgate's commercial insurance division. Husband and Bridge were previously with Lombard (now Groupama-GAN) in the positions of non-motor underwriting manager and sales & agency manager respectively. The appointments are part of Folgate's strategy to grow its commercial lines business.
Crowe Insurance Group
David Hull has been appointed to Crowe Insurance Group which specialises in bus and coach insurance. He will be responsible for claims and risk management at Crowe Underwriting Service's recently launched Coach & Bus Line division and will be based at the group's Amersham office. Previously Hull spent seven years with bus and coach broker Chapman Stevens as claims manager. During this period his role developed to cover servicing client claims and advising on risk management.

CMG
Imogen Beck has been appointed as PR and marketing consultant at CMG's finance sector. She will be responsible for all PR, advertising and CMG's internet presence relating to the company's insurance and banking operations. For the last year she has been responsible for marketing CMG's wholesale banking operations.
Experian
Richard Fiddis has been appointed chief operations officer of Experian, the global information solutions provider. He will be working with Experian's UK chief executive John Saunders and is responsible for overseeing the management of the company's UK operations. Fiddis joins Experian from Lorien, where he was joint group managing director responsible for IT and consultancy services. He has also held a number of senior management positions including European vice president of Marcam Corporation and managing director of an IBM joint venture company.

John Webster has been appointed a partner to head the insurance department of Birmingham solicitors Merricks. He is a former equity partner and head of the national common law department at Davies Arnold Cooper. Webster has more than 20 years professional experience, working in such fields as personal injury litigation, property damage, product liability and professional indemnity.
Davies Arnold Cooper
Bill Scantlebury has appointed to the Newcastle dispute resolution team at Davies Arnold Cooper. He was previously with Northern-based law firm Crutes. He has eight years experience in defendant personal injury and professional negligence work. In his new post he will be working in the insurance litigation area as part of Davies Arnold Cooper's immediate plans to focus on the insurance sector.

Catherine Tang has been appointed chief underwriter of Brokers Only, the Caerphilly-based liability insurance underwriting agency. She joins the company after a ten-year career with Axa.

CNA
Chris Barrett has joined CNA as director - audits and inspections. Formerly with the Aon claims consultancy, Barrett has considerable experience gained from heading inspections and providing arbitration and litigation services. His new role will involve developing a third party clientele practice within the firm.
