Burns e-Commerce Solutions, the purchase-to-pay company, has appointed Rodney Baker-Bates, the former chief executive of Prudential Financial Services, as its chairman with effect from 28 January 2002.
Baker-Bates spent three years at Prudential where he was responsible for developing and implementing the company's strategy in the financial services market including Direct to Consumer and employer-sponsored pension saving schemes.
Prior to this he spent five years at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) as director of finance and information technology.
From 1984-1993, he was with Midland Bank in various roles including managing director UK Banking.
